The Whappers will appear at The Grey Eagle in Asheville on Friday, January 2, 2009. Special guests Wooden Toothe will open the gig. Be sure to listen to 105.9 The Mountain next Sunday (the 28th) for Local Licks at 9pm. The Whappers will be in the studio for an interview and will be recording a new tune at Collapseable Studios which will debut live on air that night. Thanks to Bad Ash for hosting us!

We had a great time opening for The Trainwreks last weekend at The Garage here in Asheville. We are stoked to announce that we will be playing with Robert DiMaio and the Beauty Junkies again on Friday, July 11 at Stella’s in downtown Asheville.

Howdy folks! We are excited to announce a couple of gigs coming up soon in the area. First, we will be playing in Boone, NC right by the campus of Appalachian State College at a cool joint called Flipside on May 31. I think we will be playing there again in July too!
Also, we are appearing at Stella’s in downtown Asheville on June 6, so please come out and support live, local music!
